Flow: Water Tracker privacy policy
Who we are
Flow: Water Tracker ("Flow") is made by ZUROTH PRIVATE LIMITED. "We" and "us" in this policy mean ZUROTH PRIVATE LIMITED. You can reach us at zurothpl@gmail.com.
The short version
Flow works entirely on your phone. We don't run servers, we don't have accounts, and we don't receive the information you enter. Flow contains no analytics or tracking tools.
What Flow stores on your phone
- Drinks you log: type, amount, date and time
- Your cups and bottles
- Details you give to calculate your goal: weight, activity level, usual climate, wake-up time and bedtime
- Weights you log
- Reminder, unit, language, sound and appearance settings
- Streaks, challenges and badges
- Days you mark as a hot day
How Flow uses it
Only to run the app's features: working out your daily goal and pace, deciding when to remind you, and showing your history, insights, streaks and badges.
Apple Health and Health Connect
Connecting Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android) is optional. If you connect it, Flow:
- writes the drinks you log as water
- reads workouts, to raise your goal on active days
- reads weight, to keep your goal up to date
Flow asks for only these data types, and you choose which to allow. Health data is used only for these hydration features. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with anyone. Flow's use of Health Connect data follows the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can turn off access at any time in the Health app, in Health Connect, or in Flow.
Notifications
Reminders are created and scheduled on your phone. No message is sent through a server. You can turn them off in Flow or in your phone's settings.
Widgets and Live Activity
Home-screen widgets and the Live Activity show today's progress using data stored on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Backups and export
Flow doesn't upload anything. If you've turned on your phone's own backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup on iPhone, Android backup to your Google account), Flow's data is included in it. That backup is provided and controlled by Apple or Google under their privacy terms. When you export a CSV file, you decide where it goes.
Sharing
We don't share or sell your data. When you tap Share on a recap card, only what is shown on that card is passed to the app you choose.
If you email us
Report a problem and Send feedback open your own email app. If you send the message, we receive your email address, what you wrote, and the app version, operating system version and phone model that are added to help us fix problems. We use this only to reply to you and improve Flow, and we delete it when it's no longer needed.
Permissions
Flow may ask for notifications and Apple Health or Health Connect access. On Android it may also ask you to allow "Alarms and reminders" and to lift battery restrictions, so reminders arrive on time. All of these are optional, and the app keeps working without them. Flow uses the phone's motion sensor only to tilt the water and glass effects on screen; these readings aren't stored or sent anywhere. Flow doesn't use your location, camera, contacts or microphone.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your phone until you delete it. Use Delete all data in the You tab, or uninstall Flow. Copies inside older phone backups are managed by your backup provider.
Children
Flow isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Because Flow doesn't send us your data, we don't hold information about any user.
Security
Your data is protected by your phone's own security, such as its passcode and encryption.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it in the app and on this page, and change the effective date.
